Knocking down a crucial three-pointer with 1.6 ticks remaining, Paul Gonzalgo, saved the day for the Adamson University (AdU) Soaring Falcons as they sneaked pass last season’s runners-up, the University of the East (UE) Red Warriors, 66-64, in a match that saw Adamson’s drive to win in the UAAP Season 71 men’s basketball tournament at the PhilSports Arena, Pasig City on July 20.

The University of Santos Tomas (UST) Growling Tigers got back on fighting form as they clinched their first victory after trampling the University of the Philippines (UP) Fighting Maroons, 94-74 in the UAAP Season 71 Men’s Basketball competition at the PhilSports Arena on July 12.
